Last Day Hong Kong

Wednesday 14th May
A lovely tram ride down to a Times Square in a Causeway Bay . Transport systems here top notch. Auckland could learn a lot! Shopping paradise even though we didn't really buy anything much. The shopping centres are amazing. All brands super sized stores.

This was part of a Gaudi exhibition - cardboard model of Sagrada Familia - amazing !

A walk past the Noonday Gun - historical . Goes off at 12pm everyday.
Hopped on sampan to Yacht Club. Originally stood out on a rock in the harbour , but now land has been reclaimed around it.

Had a lovely curry buffet lunch at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club overlooking the harbour.
Such a hot sticky day 29 degrees and 93% humidity.  Pool was tempting but not enough time!

Later in the evening a must do was to see the skyline at night. It's impressive during the day, but every night there is a spectacular light show viewed from Kowloon. Incredible!

Finished the day with a few drinks at John's favourite watering hole in the popular Soho area.
The midlevel escalators go right through this area. Heaps of bars and restaurants to choose from.
