Breathtaking Bath

Tuesday 20th May
A day spent in Bath. What an amazing place. The whole city area is a UNESCO Heritage site.
Easy to imagine people walking the streets in their old clothes, horses and carriages.
Quite a few tourists, but nothing like London.
Pulteney Bridge

The Circus - a circle of Georgian Style Houses

Bath Coat of Arms

A typical street

The Roman Bath complex is a must see of course. Incredibly clever people when you see what they did all those years ago with outlets, drains, systems for heating and 2000 year old lead piping. Simply amazing.

The Abbey is another magnificent example. Gorgeous ceilings, stained glass and intricate stonework.
Don't think I'll tire of the buildings, just beautiful.

A pub dinner at the oldest pub in Bath - Saracens Head 1713. Once had Charles Dickens as a guest. Good old fashioned roast beef dinner!
