TUESDAY 13th Hong Kong
A bit of a wet day, but extremely humid. Umbrellas got a good test and passed!
We ventured out on the MTR - absolutely fabulous rail system and pretty cheap too. Headed for a huge outlet shopping mall out near the airport and then while we were there decided to go on the Ngong Ping Cable Car to see the big Buddha The ride took us up to the highest point on Lantau Island 5.7km ride. Unfortunately with the weather we spent time in the clouds and the views weren't as good as they could have been. It was "Buddha in the Mist" not gorillas!
On the way back stopped in at Tsim Sha Tsui and walked along the promenade. The skyline of Hong Kong is really spectacular. Caught the famous Star Ferry back to Central.
Sampled the local roast duck and pork belly tonight - superb! Went down a treat.
We clocked up about 20kms in all today walking! (Sam has a pedometer so keeping a running total.)
The name of this street says it all! A street of steep steps
Sore legs tonight! Not long home. Had dessert in Soho. A great bar and restaurant area.
Deserved after Ladder St!
Last more to do tomorrow . It's a happening place!

How many hours behind New Zealand is Hong Kong's time? We are sitting on the mat, after lunch and wondering what time it is there and what you are up to? We love reading about your adventures!
