Last Day in London

Sunday 18th May
A few more boxes to tick. Absolutely perfect weather - 24 degrees plus.
First stop National Art Gallery. Fantastic collection. Just had to see Monet's waterlilies.

A wander past the horse guards. Felt pretty sorry for them and the horses, so hot!

Downing Street - under tight guard. Thought we might have got invited in for a cuppa!

Back on the bus to head for the other side of the city. Mayfair, Knightsbridge , Kensington and Nottinghill. First stop Harrods. Got to go there. Need to be a millionaire. What an amazing store.
Had to go downstairs to see the memorial to Diana and Dodi - still sad!

Next stop Kensington Palace and gardens. Strolled through Hyde Park to visit the Diana Fountain. All the parks make London such a lovely city. The Royals do have lots to be thanked for. Seemed like half of London were at the Parks today! I guess they have to because they don't have the backyards.

Back on the Bus which took us through the streets of Kensington, Nottinghill Queensway and back to Paddington.
A few drinks at the local - Fountains Abbey - Sam's old watering hole and out for a pub meal - Sunday roast to finish the day.
