Monday 19th May
Time to pack up this morning to catch the train to Bristol, but before we do, two last stops.First stop Abbey Road to see the famous crossing used by the Beatles.
Next stop visit to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens to see the Italian Gardens and more importantly the Peter Pan statue, a big favourite of Ben's when he was little.
Bags packed and down to Paddington Station to catch the train - but not before visiting the Paddington Bear statue, one of my favourite series of books when I was growing up!
An hour and a half later we arrive in Bristol. So quiet compared to London!
We are fortunate to be staying at Sam's cousin, Mirama's house .
Some amazing old churches and pubs around here.
The Cottage Inn - Harbourside
Also very well known for street art, in particular Banksy, but there are some other amazing pieces adorning the buildings around the streets.
The River is the centre of the city. The Clifton suspension bridge - designed by Brunel in 1864 crosses the Avon River and is a spectacular piece of engineering.
Loved Hong Kong and London but nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of the big cities for a few days!

Aren't the old buildings just amazing! Didn't know Bristol was where a lot of Banksy's work was - I really love his art work. Awesome journal of your travels Sandy - keep it up!
